Dr. Samba Sesay is a dynamic professional engineer qualified in Electrical, Electronic, and Telecommunication Systems Engineering with several and diverse experience in both Industry and Academic Fields. He is a member of the ECOWAS Technical Standards Harmonization Committee that developed several ECOSTAND and IEC Standards for solar PV mini grids and renewable energy products. His research interests include: Energy system modelling, Renewable energy system design and implementation, and Wireless & Sensor Networks. Currently, Dr. Sesay is a Senior Lecturer and the Head of Electrical & Electronics Engineering Department, Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone. He is a member of the National Science Technology and Innovation Council of Sierra Leone; Corporate Member, Sierra Leone Institution of Engineers, MSLIE; and the Professional Engineers Registration Council of Sierra Leone (PEng). Also, he is a Commissioner at the Independent Media Commission (IMC) of Sierra Leone.
